What data is processed? We process your personal data that we have collected directly from you. Personal data (hereinafter referred to as “Data”) is all information relating to an identified or identifiable natural person, e.g. your name, address, telephone number or date of birth. An identifiable natural person is one who can be identified, directly or indirectly, in particular by reference to an identifier such as a name, an identification number, location data, online identification, or one or more factors specific to the physical, physiological, genetic, mental, economic, cultural or social identity of that natural person.

Within the scope of the application process we process the following Data from you:

  • Information on nationality
  • Education and professional experience
  • Language skills
  • Work permit if required
  • Certificates
  • Photograph
  • Other Data that you provide us with during the application process.

Upon entering into the employment relationship, a personal file is created and at that time further information on the processing of personal data is provided.

Processing purpose, legal basis and forwarding of the Data Within the framework of the application procedure, your Data will be processed already at the time of the first contact by way of the application and recruitment procedure. This Data is also processed after the conclusion of the employment contract for the purpose of carrying out and, if necessary, terminating the employment relationship.

The legal basis for processing this Data is § 26 para. 1 sentence 1 BDSG (Bundesdatenschutzgesetz; Federal Data Protection Act) (for the purpose of the employment relationship).

Your Data may be transferred within the group of companies during the application procedure to certain companies if these companies perform data processing tasks centrally for the companies affiliated to the group.

If your Data is processed by other persons or bodies (external service providers) on our behalf, we ensure compliance with all data protection regulations. In particular for IT services, we pass on your Data to external service providers, if necessary. They process the Data within the scope of order processing. Obligation to provide your Data   Some Data that you provide to us in connection with your employment is required by law or contract, or is necessary for the conclusion and proper performance of the contract on which your employment with us is based. You are therefore obliged to provide us with this Data. We would like to point out that if you do not provide us with this Data, this will mean that we will not use them for our own purposes. Duration of storage We store your Data as long as this is necessary for the pursued purpose. This applies for the duration of the application procedure and, in the case of recruitment, for the duration of the employment relationship. In addition, we store your Data until the expiry of the limitation period for any claims arising from the contractual relationships (§§ 195 ff. BGB (Bürgerliches Gesetzbuch; German Civil Code), § 6 AGG (Allgemeines Gleichbehandlungsgesetz; General Equal Treatment Act), § 61 b ArbGG (Arbeitsgerichtsgesetz; German Labout Court Law) and until the expiry of statutory storage obligations (§ 16 ArbZG (Arbeitszeitgesetz; Working Time Act) § 147 AO (Abgabenordnung; General Fiscal Law), § 257 HGB (Handelsgesetzbuch; German Commercial Code).

Data subject rights You can request information from us at any time about the processing of your Data (Art. 15 GDPR). In addition, in accordance with the legal provisions, you have a right to rectification (Art. 16 GDPR) and erasure (Art. 17 GDPR) of your Data, a right to limit processing (Art. 18 GDPR) and you can object to the processing of your Data (Art. 21 GDPR).
